Joy was the 10th puppy born in our "Miracle Litter" of 11. She is aptly named as we felt such joy knowing that these babies made it to this world safely, along with Mama Andi healthy. She was originally called Veronica for one of the characters in my favorite childhood book, The Fourteen Bears. ​Joy came on strong as we were making decisions on who to keep for our breeding program. She continued to grow in one piece and we are blessed not only by her wonderful and resilient temperament but also her success in the show ring.
​
Joy finished her American championship almost exclusively at specialties from the 12-15 month class, including multiple Best in Sweepstakes. We are so honored and grateful to receive such recognition of our Labradors from fellow breeder-judges whom we admire. ​​She continues to make us proud by being recognized as a special. She came back out just 5 months after her first litter and in a whirlwind finished her Grand Championship with all points from Specialties and Supported Entries. She is proving herself in the whelping box as the mama to Petunia and Ullr, who are already succeeding in the show ring. We have high hopes for her venture into new endeavors as she has incredible drive like her mama, Andi, and all her grand-mama's before her. We love this little girl to the core and are just along for the ride in whatever direction she takes us.
