Yesterday I lost
my beloved boy to renal failure. It was a complete surprise and he
went downhill so very quickly.
For those of you who
had the true pleasure of knowing Zachary, you knew him as the most
devoted, loving, trusting soul.
The cherished therapy dog to many nursing home residents, the best heeling obedience dog who couldn't wait to work, the steadfast jump-shooting duck dog. Many said he was the closest dog they knew to being human.
His love was pure
adoration, and his heart was as big as they come. He would do
anything to please me, and was my soulmate.
I lost his father,
Roman, not even a year ago.
I mourn to the core the loss of this boy and his father, and miss his presence tremendously.
I had just enjoyed
a snow shoe Christmas weekend, full of snow balls and snow angels.
I am thankful he lived his life fully until the end. For that I am thankful.
Good night my
beloved and trusting friend......

Zachary was the most devoted dog, living only to please you and be near your side. He was the treasured therapy dog, the coveted foot warmer and cuddler. He did not make it for the show ring, but succeeded so well in other venues. He finished his CD and CDX in style, and was in training for his Utility title. He finished his Junior Hunter in four out of four tests, impressing judges with his consistency and diligence. We are very proud of his accomplishments. My heart is empty by his loss, and I will miss him so terribly much. Thank you Zachary, for the wonderful years and memories.
